SUCCESS! THANK YOU ALL! · Mar 23, 03:44 PM
Well, for the second year in a row the Buffalo Small Press Book Fair was an overwhelming success. The positive atmosphere, energetic crowd, and amazing work from all the vendors made it a fantastic (albeit exhausting) day.
I want to personally thank all of the vendors (especially those who came from other cities and states!), sponsors, all the attendees, and all those who helped me make it happen including (but not limited to): Amy Hartman, Holly Quin, Kevin Thurston, Cookie Thurston, Chris Kelly, Alex from TO, HERO Design, and everyone who pitched in, even a little bit.
If you’ve blogged about the event, please let us know. If you have pictures, we’re always interested, and there’s a group on Flickr. We’ve posted ours. So send them to us or post them there. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let us know what you’re doing to cover the Fair in the days after – all that info helps us generate an archive of past Fairs and gives people an idea what future fairs will be like. Check it out here:

It was great seeing everyone – one of the most important reasons I do the Fair is to bring people together to talk about their work, see old friends and catch up on new projects they have underway – but I hope everyone got a chance to meet new people and discover their work as well.
We’re signing off until next year. We won’t be taking applications for next year’s Fair until December 2008/January 2009. There’s no pre-booking, so sorry in advance.
Again, thank you all, and POST THOSE PICS!!!
Signing off,
— Chris Fritton
