Great news everyone!

It’s only 3 short weeks until the 2009 Buffalo Small Press Book Fair, and things are looking fantastic. We have over 60 vendors lined up already, and even more to come. Artists are coming from Baltimore, NYC, Boston, OH, PA, Toronto, and plenty of other places all across the Northeast just to share their wares. Don’t miss this chance to see their work.

Print materials are on the way, and this year’s posters and handbills look amazing again, thanks to HERO Design. I’ll have them in hand early next week, so if you’d like to help distribute them just let me know! If you want a sneak preview, check our Facebook or Myspace pages.

Full sponsorship opportunities are now closed, but limited sponsorship and individual sponsorship opportunities are still open – so if you’re considering lending your support, do it now! Email me with any questions! I know it’s a slim year for everyone, but we could really use it.

Finally, the details of workshops and readings are being hammered out. As it stands now, during the day of the fair in the upstairs room of the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum, we’ll be holding 3 workshops related to bookmaking. The topics are yet to be worked out in full, but all of the workshops will be free and open to the public.

Readings have been handed over to my good friends Aaron Lowinger and Mike Kelleher, and word is they’ll be held the Friday night before the book fair at Buffalo’s own Sugar City. As soon as I have that reading schedule, it’ll be posted on the website.

I’ll be sending out updates once or twice a week from here on out – just to keep everyone in the know.

More soon,

Chris

PS: If you want to vend, we still have a few spots, but you better apply soon!
